Strap on your tactical vest and grab a hold of a rake, because the new Extraction 2 trailer just broke cover on Chris Hemsworth's Twitter account – and it has a lot more Luther in it than we were expecting…

Core blimey, guvnor, they kept this one under wraps! Turns out Idris Elba is playing, possibly, the villain in Extraction 2, and we’ve only found out 11 days before release.

Chris Hemsworth broke the news on his Twitter account earlier today, showing off a whole minute of new footage, with the caption "Good to have @idriselba join the Extraction team." @idriselba is, unsurprisingly, Idris Elba's Twitter account.

Check out the tweet, and accompanying trailer, below:

Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw stars aside, the clip is mostly taken up by an action-packed car chase, chopped together into one continuous shot.

It doesn't look like much of a chase for long, though – every vehicle involved seems to be in various states of upside down or exploded by the end of the clip.

Then we get treated to a spot of Idris, and you don't get the star of bonkers man v lion movie Beast involved without giving him a quippy line or two.

This time, he makes a disparaging comment about Chris Hemsworth's character's name, Tyler Rake. It's fun to say, we’ve heard. We’re pretty sure our absurdly muscly protagonist will make him eat his words by the end of the movie.

Extraction 2 premieres on Netflix on 16 June.
