"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" follows Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee, and Frank, five hectic, schemey friends (and sometimes relatives) who spend their time hatching bizarre plans and drinking in their bar, Paddy's Pub.

As the show has gone on, writers and executive producers Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, and Glenn Howerton have woven more current events and headlining topics into the comedy series. And this season is no different, writes FX on the "Always Sunny" page, listing "inflation, US-Russian relations, mental health, gender equality, injury liability, gun control, and celebrity-branded products" as some of the key issues.

This year, according to FX, Mac is struggling with pesky allergies and the difficulties of a long-distance relationship, Charlie's sisters finally make an appearance, and Dee is splitting her efforts between rent control and women's sports. Meanwhile, "Gun Fever" returns for Frank, and Dennis explores ways to improve his mental health.
